As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to its host communities, the Integrated Data Services Limited (IDSL) recently made a presentation of Educational Assistance, worth N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) each,  to Five Undergraduates, in addition the company presented opportunity for Economy Empowerment Scheme which consist of 5 sets of grinding machine, 5 sets of Sewing Machines and accessories to women, and 3 sets of barbing salon equipment for youth, from Oko Community, host to IDSL Head Office , Benin City.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony to the host community, the Managing Director, Engr. Diepiriye Tariah, who was represented by the Executive Director Services, Mr. Olufemi Sijuade, in his opening remark, appreciated the Oko Community for its peaceful disposition.

In his words “it gives me great pleasure to be interacting with our indefatigable community that has been at peace with us as demonstrated by the mutual respect and peaceful coexistence we had for the past thirty years now and your collaboration for us to go this far. We want to acknowledge that very fact, and want to appreciate your collaboration for us to go this. Thank you very much.

The Executive Director Services noted that IDSL has over the years, continued to establish and maintain cordial relationship with its host communities, both in the field locations and at the Head Office in Benin.

He said as a stakeholder and partners in progress to the organization, IDSL is assuring them that it will continue to perform its Corporate Social obligations.

Mr. Sijuade further said IDSL and Oko Community are joint owners of the business, so whatever affects the Host Community also affects the organization. As part of touching lives positively, IDSL has decided to demonstrate love and show concern to the community by way of presenting tools that can build capacity, and make people productive in the society. As we all know, this is just a phase of our commitment to the society.  ‘’We know we are going to perform all our best concerning the obligation that we have proposed’’, he added.

He congratulated the beneficiaries, and urged the students to be diligent in their studies and justify the assistance by coming out in flying colours as well as the mirror and source of pride to their parents, and the community at large.

The Manager, Human Resources, Mr. Aderibigbe A.A, in his closing remark, thanked the Management of IDSL for the kind gesture to the community. In addition, he congratulated the beneficiaries and appreciated the mutually beneficial and symbiotic relationship between Oko Community and IDSL, and commended the community for the peace they have exuded in their relationship with the company over the years.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, a student of Computer Science, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma Master Obazee Frank Omoregie, (represented), thanked the Management of IDSL for the privilege and promised to use the cash judiciously for its purpose, while looking further to Management’s continuous support for future generations.

In a related development, the foundation of 5 lock – up Stores and 5 open stores was laid at Oko Community Market by the Managing Director Engr. Diepiriye Tariah who was represented by the Executive Director Services Mr. Olufemi Sijuade, alongside some top Management staff. The project is expected to be executed within 8 weeks.
